A disclaimer – I am not promoting Siam Kempinski Hotel for a commission or a discount – I simply like it.
Bangkok is a city that I return to from time to time. Siam Kempinski hotel is obviously my favorite place to stay. Why? First of all, it has a super friendly and helpful staff, and they offer a very good service. Secondly, the buffet breakfast is rich and welcoming, and Eggs Benedict with crab meat is my favorite for breakfast if I feel hungry. They also have nice bars and restaurants, including the one-star Michelin Sra Bua.
Are the rooms nice?
Yes, they are. The are comfortable, very clean and with nice amenities that are replenished everyday. The rooms are equipped with free WiFi. If I feel like staying in a hotel for the evening, I adore sitting on my balcony enjoying a cup of tea or coffee or a cocktail, and looking at the beautiful tropical garden surrounds.
You also can enjoy treatments in the hotel Spa, but I have another favorite massage shop in Bangkok.
I have a black Discovery card now, so I get upgraded, but even before I enjoyed staying in deluxe-rooms.
Is this hotel good for families with kids?
Siam Kempinski hotel has a playroom for children, lots of activities and a super-nice outdoor swimming pool. I have seen many families in the hotel.
And what about the location of Siam Kempinski hotel?
It is a paradise for shoppers! The hotel is adjacent to a huge Siam Paragon shopping mall, where you can find everything, including very nice book shopsį, lots of Thai cosmetics with my favorite lemongrass (look for them in a supermarket as well), many famous brands, etc. It is also very close to the Skytrain, so you can move around Bangkok quite easy. I was also told that her Royal Higness The Princess lives nearby.
If you decide to stay in this hotel, book a room long in advance. Siam Kempinski is a busy hotel and becomes expensive when it’s almost full. If you are smart and book in advance, you can find different discounts or even packages. I usually succeed in finding them. Otherwise, you will end up in paying 300 USD per room…
