My blog focuses on travel tips, so I give you hints on airport lounges as well. This lounge is on the ground floor of Nadi airport. It is a bit hidden, but when you enter it you think, WOW … this is stylish!
The colors and style match the colors of Fiji Airways planes. It is spacious, light and with few people – at least during the time that I waited for my Fiji Airways flight to Singapore.
It was quiet and very relaxing, with plenty of comfortable seats. I was not hungry, but there was a decent selection of food – at least six types of salads, snacks, nibbles, fruits, some braised lamb, and a vegetable tajine. You can toast sandwiches there as well.
When I was there, I noticed a business center with a number of charging stations and data ports.
The drink selection is good and the servings are generous. They also have Fiji Airways signature cocktails.
The lounge has shower facilities with nice Fijian beauty products.
The lounge also has a separate are for watching TV, and a special area for children.
I left the lounge to go to the shopping area via an escalator to spend my last Fijian dollars and purchase some gifts. The duty-free shop had a nice range of Fijian products, from jewelry made from shells, to Fijian tea and cosmetics. So if you suddenly remembered that you forgot to grab gifts for some friends (this was my case), you have a perfect opportunity to do so.
Even if you do not fly business class, you can still enter the lounge for $99 Fijian dollars. I would say it is worth visiting.
My travel tip would be – if you’re in transit or flying from Nadi, try to get into this lounge. It was opened only last December after 12 months of refurbishment.
